Friday night saw Timaru Boys’ high School claim their maiden Canterbury Hockey title, taking down league winners St. Bede’s College in a thrilling penalty shootout. Rangi Ruru Girls’ School then followed that up with their second title in three years, sneaking past rivals St. Margaret’s College 2-1.

On Saturday evening, Marist claimed their first premier men’s title with a shootout victory over Southern United, inflicting only the second defeat on them all season. Carlton Redcliffs couldn’t be stopped in the Women’s final against Marist, winning their 17th match of the season to take a clean sweep of the silverware for 2019.
